Well, it's been a week and work is still blocking my blog. Bleh. So, a quick recap of this week!
Performances: Robert and LoFro KILLED IT this week! We finally got a waltz w/ Robert and Anya, and it was beautiful. Robert looked strong and suave and it was really beautiful. Robert also got a quirky and cool NappyTabs Hip Hop about clowns for his first Hip Hop on the show, and it was awesome. Definitely one for the tour!
Lauren was smoldering in an Argentine Tango w/ Pasha and then ever more so in a black widow inspired Sean Cheeseman jazz piece. I especially loved the hand choreography and the crazy lift that had Lauren basically doing a back somersault up Ade's body!
Kent was 1 for 2 with a silly disco but an amazing Travis Wall contemporary piece w/ Neil. I really love him, and I think choreographers just need to be able to relate to him in order to pull certain emotions out of him. He was brilliant in this piece - even Mia had nothing negative to say.
Adechike pretty much fizzled out of contention on Wednesday, and hopefully America's votes reflect that. His African jazz w/ Lauren G and his contemporary w/ Kathryn both fell flat for me and for the judges. They tell him the same thing every week, and yet he isn't able to ever connect to a piece and relate to the audience/cameras/judges at all.
We also got a Top 4 Broadway routine by Tyce which was pretty blah, but Kent of course stood out since he was made for Broadway!
I think the finale should be LoFro, Robert, and Kent, but I worried that Adechike's loyal fans might knock Robert out. Thankfully I was wrong and we got my dream finale!! I can not wait to watch next week, I think it's going to be a great show! I honestly think all three are deserving of the win, and I can honestly say I'd be happy for any of them! Just for fun, here are my dream pairings for next week's show:
LoFro - Jean Marc Waltz w/ Pasha, Mandy Moore Contemporary w/ Ade or Neil
Kent - Travis Contemporary w/ Kathryn, Spencer Liff Broadway w/ Lauren G
Robert - Rumba w/ Anya, Sonya Contemporary w/ Courtney
We'll see what happens!
